Approach: Integrative & Humanistic
Cliona Hatano is a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist, having received her BA(Hons) in Counselling & Psychotherapy from Cork Institute of Technology. She also holds a Higher Certificate in Counselling Skills. Her aim as a therapist is to offer a non-judgemental relationship, where emotional difficulties and inner conflicts can be worked through in a confidential, safe and supportive environment.
Her psychotherapeutic model is integrative, which has a number of meanings. One is that she works from a combined theoretical base and uses a range of approaches flexibly in working with clients. Integrative also refers to the process of integrating the personality; all parts of the self so that it’s possible for people to live openly and freely and without the limitations that defenses often create.
Cliona is a pre-accredited member of IACP (Irish Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy) and she is available for short and longer term therapeutic work.
