Approaches: Art Therapist, Fertility Counsellor
Andrea Nagy is a professionally qualified creative Art Therapist and Fertility Counsellor. She is a fully registered member of the Irish Association of Creative Arts Therapists (IACAT), and the Irish Fertility Counsellors Association (IFCA) and adheres to their codes of ethics.
Andrea qualified as an Art Therapist in 2012 and holds a Masters degree in Psychology graduated in 2007. Currently she is undertaking a PhD at the School of Applied Psychology, UCC, exploring the benefits of art-making in the context of infertility.
She provides bilingual (Hungarian/English) creative art therapy services. Her integrative approach incorporates psycho-dynamic, humanistic, and psychosomatic theories held within the art therapy framework. Andrea provides a safe, trusting, non-judgmental and confidential space for her clients. Andrea’s approach to art therapy is guided by the clients however she may suggest ways of working or provide themes which offer a focus for the clients to begin. The artworks created in sessions are neither judged nor interpreted by the art therapist and are retained for the duration of the whole therapy. Andrea is providing psychological support and art therapy for adults, children and adolescents.
