MyMind Centre for Mental Wellbeing is an award winning and rapidly growing provider of accessible and affordable mental health services. Now, we’re looking for the right communications expert to help us put our unique social enterprise model at the forefront of the mental health movement with our social mission at heart.


MyMind Centre for Mental Wellbeing was founded in 2006 as a not-for-profit provider of accessible mental health care. Centres in Dublin, Cork and Limerick provide multilingual counselling and psychotherapy services. Fees are based upon employment status, offering the unemployed or students affordable services. Revenue generated from full fee clients is reinvested, enabling us to provide services to all. It is easy for a client to self-refer and appointments are within 72 hours of contact


Day to day activities include:

  • Developing overall communication and marketing strategies to support organisational goals and social mission
  • Manage the day-to-day internal and external communications and marketing activities of the organisation
  • Nurture and develop a strong brand for the organisation including impactful publications, online content, social media and marketing material
  • Researching and facilitating media inquiries, acting as and working with spokespeople and Ambassadors
  • Build on existing and develop new relationships with media, key decision makers, and partners
  • Creating and updating online content in line with external and internal engagement strategy, goals and initiatives
  • Creating promotional campaigns and working with partners to deliver strong message
  • Working creatively with mental health professional team, and developing internal engagement strategies
  • Developing and delivering internal training content to MyMind team
  • Maintaining social media channels to develop audience knowledge of MyMind and mental health sector
  • Representing and promoting MyMind at key events and managing promotional events for the organisation
  • Communicating clearly, empathetically and always on brand
  • Performing other duties as assigned, e.g. grant applications and general administration


Desired skills and experience:

  • Professional experience in a communications, marketing or media role
  • Understanding of the mental health sector and sensitive nature of promoting therapeutic services
  • Experience of dealing with the media, including experience as a spokesperson
  • Experience of developing and implementing media, advocacy or marketing campaigns
  • Solid people management skills including collaborating with spokespeople, partners and Ambassadors
  • Solid understanding of project management principles
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective users (i.e Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn etc)
  • Capacity to convey information to different audiences in a clear and compelling way
  • Methodical and organised with the ability to prioritise, delegate and confidently meet deadlines


Candidate profile:

  • Ability to work calmly under pressure and within a small dynamic team
  • Highly developed interpersonal, advocacy and negotiation skills
  • Solid problem solving skills with ability to think creatively and considerately
  • Ability to manage a complex workload and work to tight deadlines




Salary: 24-28k based on experience

Job hours: 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday.
