About me:

Gemma has a Masters of Science in Pluralistic Counselling & Psychotherapy and is a member of the Irish Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. Her approach to counselling is client-led and client-centred. She collaborates with the client in order to ensure that the most appropriate interventions are used and that the client feels comfortable and safe in the counselling space. She takes a Humanistic approach and will also use tools from Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Logotherapy, among others. She is fully trained in all the approaches she takes.

Gemma believes that the alliance between the therapist and the client is the most important element of a good therapeutic experience for the client.

Her mix of approaches would be - Humanistic, ACT, CBT (REBT), Motivational Interviewing, Logotherapy
